Marginal Bearing Technology Knowledge: Operation Comparison Of Sliding Bearing And Rolling Bearing in Cement Ball Mill

Compare in terms of bearing wear, depreciation, fuel consumption and power consumption between sliding bearing and rolling bearing


Marginal cement mill-sliding bearing 

Our company has 2 sets Φ2.2mx7.5m cement mill machine. The hollow shaft of the cement mill originally used sliding bearing. The motor power of each mill was 380kW, the grinding body was steel ball, the loading capacity was 35t, and the monthly output was 350t. The feeding of grinding head shared one HL500 hoist for forking supply. In May 2002, one of them was changed to rolling bearing. After the change, the motor power was 350kW and the steel ball loading capacity was 32.5t. Other service conditions are still the same as before. After more than one year of operation, the service conditions of the two kinds of bearings are compared (the annual production period is calculated as 10 months and 300D).

 

1. Comparison of bearings

1) Sliding bearing

The sliding bearing (lead base alloy tile) of our company is generally poured once every three years, and the lead base alloy needs 4,000 yuan each time. Therefore, the average annual cost of bearing wear and maintenance is 1,333 yuan. Add 120kg lubricating oil for the first time, change the oil twice a year, and supplement 15kg oil every half month on average during operation. The price of the lubricating oil is 5 yuan / kg, and the annual cost is (120X2 + 15 x2 x 10) X5 = 2,700 yuan.

 

2) Rolling bearing

The price of two sets of rolling bearings is 90,000 yuan, the design service life is 10 years, and the planned depreciation cost of rolling bearing wear is 9,000 yuan / year. Add 60kg grease for the first time and 8kg grease every month during operation. The price of grease is 7 yuan / kg and the annual cost is (60 + 8x10) X7 = 980 yuan.  

 

2. Comparison of power consumption

Motor power factor cos φ= 0.85. By recording the data of voltage and current for three times, calculate the energy consumption comparison with the formula P = 3UI cos φ. As shown in Table 1.

On average, the results of three times show that the energy saving of rolling bearing is 4.5% higher than that of sliding bearing 3KW, amplitude 1.3%. If the electricity charge is calculated at 0.5 yuan / kWh, the annual electricity charge difference is 4.3 x 300 x24 x0 5 = 15,480 yuan.

 

3. Conclusion

Through the comparison of bearing wear depreciation, oil consumption and power consumption, the wear and oil consumption cost of rolling bearing is 5947 yuan more than that of sliding bearing every year, but the annual power cost of cement ball mill with rolling bearing is 15,480 yuan less than that of sliding bearing.
